In the winter, visitors to the park can enjoy 11 miles of cross country ski and snowshoe trails. Follow the path of the Nordic events of the 1960 Winter Olympics that occurred in what is now Sugar Pine Point State Park. Starting at the Blue Trailhead, located at the day use parking on the campground (west) side of the highway, you will come across a series of interpretive panels that share our Olympic and Nordic skiing history. Free trail maps are available at the park entrance stations.
Snowshoers and hikers, please do not walk on the ski tracks. We recommend the lakeside trails (yellow and orange) for snowshoers and blue and red trails for XC skiers.
Be prepared for changing weather conditions.
$5 parking fee.
Bathrooms are available in the WINTER CAMPING LOOP.
Update: Dogs are now allowed on blue and red trails on leash. Please bring your own waste bags and pack it in pack it out.
