**DOGS CONSIDERED**
You’ll feel like you’re in the center of a snow globe when the snowflakes are gently falling around this beautiful cabin. The soaring windows provide amazing views of the surrounding forest, drifting snow or shimmering stars.

Cheerily decorated with pops of vibrant color, this wonderful home is located in the Alpine Peaks neighborhood on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore and makes a great year-round destination. In winter, hop on the Sherwood Chair* at the back side of Alpine Meadows ski resort with your car parked nearby at the private HOA lot. In summer, enjoy the tennis courts which are a mere 3 minute walk away or head out for a stunningly scenic hike in the surrounding mountains. Trailheads for the famous Tahoe Rim Trail and spectacular Paige Meadows are easily accessible.

Enter on the bottom floor of this tri-level home to find the recreation room and laundry facilities. The rec room has a flat screen TV with DirectTV satellite, streaming on Apple TV, BluRay DVD, plus Game Cube and PS3; table for games; cushy sectional couch; separate memory foam Queen sofa sleeper; and a full bathroom.

Mid-level has the living room with wood fireplace, Sonos sound system and those great big windows; dining area with expanding table; well-equipped kitchen; bedroom with a New Queen bed; the Kids’ bedroom with one Twin bed and a set of Twin bunkbeds; and full guest bathroom in the hall. The living room is stocked with lots of games, puzzles and books, including local trail and nature guides. Exterior deck offers a gas grill for use during summer.

Top level has the spacious Cal King master bedroom with Sonos sound system and bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower. Heated floors throughout keep you toasty warm, whatever the weather may be.

One side of a two car garage is available, along with 2 spaces on the paved driveway.

The Alpine Peaks area is delightfully secluded a few miles up Ward Canyon, but it’s still conveniently close to Sunnyside, Tahoe City and all the awesome adventures the West Shore offers.

*Important note: You MUST either have a season pass or purchase ski lift tickets in advance at the main lodge at the front side of Alpine Meadows; tickets are not for sale at the Sherwood Chair. The Sherwood chair may not be open, depending upon show conditions.

Must be at least 25 years old to rent.

Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog to any dog-friendly property. All dogs must be at least one year old and must not be left unattended at the property unless crate trained. No pets other than dogs are allowed at any of our pet-friendly properties (no cats, birds, ferrets, etc.).

PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog to our dog friendly property there is an additional fee of $100+tax per dog.

NO air conditioning.

BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

We rented this house for the MLK 2024 weekend; it was our second time staying here. House is great - very comfortable, well-stocked, clean and the light in the main room during the day is great. Layout is good too - one main bedroom + full bath on the top floor; two bedrooms and full bath on second floor; and TV room and full bath on the ground floor. For skiers, location is great when Sherwood chair is running at Alpine, but even when it isn't, easy drive to both Alpine and Palisades.

We came here for the weekend with our dog and it was our first time staying in this neighborhood in the summer. Amazing! We felt like we were in a tree house, with gorgeous forest views, and stars we could see from our bed at night. We enjoyed walking to Alpine Meadows for a mellow hike. And yet we were really close to the lake, Fire Sign, West Shore Market, etc. The home was in beautiful condition - extremely well maintained, clean, spacious. We will definitely be back! Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

This home is so well stocked, really warm, and surrounded by beautiful forests. It has plenty of space to spread out, is really great for hanging out while cooking or playing games or staring at the stars. We have stayed in a lot of rental homes and found this one uniquely well supplied and laid out. It also has access to the back of Alpine mountain for a real winter bonus. We've booked this home for 3 weekends and will continue to use it when available. Plus, we like dealing with the Hauserman rental group who manages it.

We stayed with our 2 dogs for a few nights. Waked the neighborhood and there are trails very nearby. House was very well equipped ... so few are these days, but lots of staples are there for you. Beds were super comfy!

House was perfect for us. Would like a private beach next time. House well stocked with pans and utensils that we needed. Loved the forest view and deck. I, on purpose left a night light on the upper staircase that comes on in night for safety. I thought the deck was on the ground floor on the road and almost did not rent because of that, but it is above garage and very nice, few cars come up and down the street. Might change that picture to show elevated deck. Aware of bears in Tahoe but our car window was left slightly open with no food but vanilla air freshener to tempting and the bear broke the driver side window while in the driveway. Our car did fit in the garage with kayaks the next night, fortunately. Love the game telestration in the cabinet. Enjoyed Skylanda, and Commons beach. Truckee river was too crowded for Covid 19 separation. Good to have a little market at base of hill for essentials though expensive. Beds where a bit hard. Only found a comforter and duvet but no sheets for the queen temper pedic sofa sleeper, but fortunately I brought sheets to cover upholstered furniture, that worked. Almost needed a second refrigerator to feed 7 people for 3 nights, while avoiding crowds and restaurants during Covid-19. Well appointed house. Lovely setting, view, privacy, Might make a note near fireplace as to which way the chimney flue is open. Might cover worn club chairs with slip covers. Awesome windows. Some window latches did not lock in living room.Very nice thanks again.

The house was just beautiful and everything we needed and more for our stay with our kids first time to really ski and play in the snow. We brought tons of games, sleds, snow gear and books and didn't need anything since the house was well stocked for kids and families. One wouldn't think so for a house full of games and equipment but it was also very elegant with a clean design and stunning views from every window. Our dog also felt very welcome and loved being able to explore the woods in the snow. Everyone is spoiled and ready to go back.

We were mostly happy with the house. It's a beautiful location. A couple of problems that I think could be addressed. The satellite was not working. It was very spotty and intermittent. We really couldn't use it. We ended up hooking up a laptop and using our daughters' exfinity account. Also the sound system in the main living space was also not working well. I downloaded the Sonos app. Things seemed to work ok on the first night. After that I could get it to work with out it shutting down after a few minutes and telling me someone else was using the system. It really could use some more instruction. It's not really user friendly. So basically we had no entertainment in the house.

Excellent home that had everything that we needed. We just wished that it had screens for the main beautiful windows facing the forest and main sliding door in the LR - it was unfortunate not being able to enjoy all of the fresh Summer air. But other than that, it is a great home that is away from the crowds down by the lake. Exactly what we were looking for. The Hauserman crew is also very organized and makes things extremely easy. It\\'s great to have a Go-To team that has everything covered and streamlined for our limited times of getting away so we may start enjoying ourselves the minute that we arrive. This is the second home that we have rented from them and look forward to many more.
