Olympic Valley
Located in North Lake Tahoe, Palisades Tahoe became world famous when it hosted the Winter Olympics in 1960. To ensure people spend their time skiing instead of waiting in line, Squaw Valley is home to one of the most expansive lift networks in the country. With 4,000 skiable acres covered in almost 200 runs, this resort is one of the largest ski areas in the country.
Alpine Meadows
Located only six miles northwest of Tahoe City and 13 miles south of Truckee, Alpine Meadows is recognized as one of North America’s top ski resorts. The resort is known for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere as well as seven powder bowls, summit to base groomed trails, and of course the breathtaking scenery of Lake Tahoe. With a total of 100 designated runs over 2,400 acres, Alpine Meadows is home to acclaimed terrain for beginner, intermediate, and expert skiers.
