**DOGS CONSIDERED**

Cozy cabin less than a block from the lake with access to shared pier. A perfect place for the pooch as it has a fenced back yard (with picnic table) and backs up to Blackwood Canyon and hundreds of acres of National Forest lands. Big front deck with relaxing peek-of-the-lake view in the summer, and gas BBQ.

This home is one level, country decor, open kitchen/ living room floor plan with big picture windows and view of the lake from the beautiful front deck. Dining room table for 8, rounded L couch, woodstove, CD/Cassette player, HDTV, VHS/DVD, and door out to the back from laundry room off the kitchen.

First bedroom has Queen bed and armoir; Second room has 2 twins in the form of a trundle bed and small flatscreen TV; 3/4 bath (full bathroom but with shower only, no tub) in hallway and third bedroom has Queen bed and private 3/4 bath.

Close to Tahoe City, but also a great gateway for backcountry hiking, biking, and skiing! Sunnyside is just 2 miles to the north and Homewood is 2 miles to the south so getting to dining and recreation options is easy.

Must be at least 25 years old to rent.

Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog to any dog-friendly property. All dogs must be at least one year old and must not be left unattended at the property unless crate trained. No pets other than dogs are allowed at any of our pet-friendly properties (no cats, birds, ferrets, etc.).

*PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog to our dog friendly property there is an additional fee of $100+tax per dog.

Our properties do not have air conditioning.

BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

CHAINS OR SNOW TIRES ARE OFTEN REQUIRED IN WINTER. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ OUR WINTER DISCLOSURE, PROVIDED WITH A RENTAL CONTRACT ONCE A RESERVATION IS MADE.

Great weather and location! Daily walks along the lakeshore and Blackwood Canyon, sunsets, with visits to Sugar Pine Point State Park, Meeks Bay, Chambers Landing, Taylor Creek, etc. We enjoying reading, talking and eating many meals on your nice deck.

We stayed at the Holland property from a Monday through a Thursday in February 2024, with my wife, my son, my daughter and her husband, and our dog. The property is very comfortable, it is well stocked, it had everything we needed and everything in the house worked well. The driveway was cleared off during the snow, the walkway was cleared, and it was stocked with bags of sidewalk salt. At the same time, it is not too fancy so that we did not have to worry about anything and we felt at home. We will be looking for this property the next time we visit Lake Tahoe.

Impressive with quality products in what must have been a recent bath remodel. Well stocked and equipped. Clean and orderly. We donated a knife sharpener and dish drying rack. Very pleased.

The house is in a great location by the lake. It’s old and not updated but was clean and comfortable. Make sure to bring your own coffee and spices. Not much there in cupboards to cook with

The house was expected, which was very nice. Unfortunately there was a mixup with emails and I had to call many times to be able to get into the house. Everyone I spoke with or met in person was excellent. They really do a great job.

We had a wonderful stay at the Holland house. Our dogs loved the yard and we did too. Has a beautiful deck in front which we would enjoy in warmer weather. We had some trouble with the tv, which may have been our inadequacy. I called and they sent someone out who fixed the problem. We were very happy and would rent again.

We absolutely loved this rental!! The cabin was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need! This was the best vacation ever! The Holland House really suits are family and 2 dogs. I think we have been there more than 5-6 times. We love the location with a short walk to the lake and views from the deck, a daily walk or bike ride up Blackwood Canyon, and the forest behind us. Not fancy, but very comfortable for our family of four. In Tahoe we hiked Page Meadows, visited Sugar Pine Point State Park, bike rides on the Truckee River, lake bike route, Spooner Lake, Bliss State Park, etc etc. WiFi and cable TV are appreciated. Only need cushions on the deck chairs and the gate for the deck needs fixing. some pots and pans not completely cleaned, but all just minor inconveniences. We will be back!

Eight years at Holland House. Booked already for 2016 and hopefully more years thereafter. Had problems with TV. Houseman rep. responded quickly and partially fixed problem. Not perfect. But who is? It was very good.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! Location, dog friendly and front deck were what attracted us to this rental, we were not disappointed. Cozy living room with TV, fully stocked kitchen and washer dryer were all pluses. Loved the mountain cabin decor, we will rent and recommend!

We very much enjoy the feeling that it is old Tahoe, quiet, nothing super fancy, perfect for everything we need, our dog is welcome, we can check the lake conditions right from our front deck for boating, everything‘s just perfect inside, and we can barbecue and eat in. Love the new dish set. Clean. We feel at home. The only negative I can think of is that the toilet paper and soap run out and we buy more. It’s only happened the last couple of times tho. We’ll be back!! Tell the owners that we think about the times they enjoy the house and thank them for making it available to those of us who never bought Tahoe property. We also love the location on west side. Our daughter comes up with our grandson each summer. She rents from you in winter ( second generation clients!). And we join them.

The house was quite comfy and well equipped to handle our group of 4 adults, 1 toddler and 2 dogs. The house had a great layout, large bedrooms, ample towels and blankets. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking in on the cold mornings. The house is perfect for a family with kids and dogs since the furnishings are modest and sturdy and there are not a lot of trinkets or breakables around. Location is superb, just outside of Tahoe City which has several great restaurants, grocery stores and a surprise Oktoberfest fair this past weekend. Walking along the lake front trail is a treat as well with easy access from the house or in Tahoe City itself.

House was very comfortable, well stocked with everything we needed, and well located. It was wonderful to take our dog and she thoroughly enjoyed her time at the lake. Everything was as described. The bed pillows were a bit lumpy, but that's really a minor quibble. We would definitely stay there again.
